So, following in the foot steps of some of my style faves, like Kate Middleton…
… Beyonce …
… and the always lovely Michelle Obama…
… earlier this week I cut my bangs!
I’ve pretty much had the same hairstyle since I was 12 (shout-out to my little sister Jessica, who’s always reminding me of that!). So, with a little inspiration from these ladies (and a little prodding from my husband
), I decided to try something different!
Here’s a shot of me a few weeks ago on my birthday, without bangs…
… and here’s a shot of me now with bangs!
The good news is, both me & James LOVE them! They’re fun to play with, look kinda trendy, and there’s some versatility with the styling. For example, they’re long enough where I can sweep them to side, like in this shot of a sleepy me cuddling an even sleepier baby-boo.
The bad news is that, while trimming my bangs, my stylist broke the news that the rest of my hair is really damaged.
With the excessively dry air, my lazy moisturizing & conditioning routine, my proclivity to heat-styling, and my really bad habit of picking at my split ends, I wasn’t surprised. But thankfully, I’ve got my friend the Fancy Flair Lady just a click-away to coach me through my healthy hair journey.
And I’ll need all the help I can get! Because my goal is to start out “cute”, but end up STRONG! So Grow Me Grow!

I LOVE THEM!!! Maybe I can go to the stylist and she can cut my bangs , too. You Go Girl!
Cute love the new look!!! I’m surprised that James was on board with anything that involves cutting your hair
Eddy, why what do you mean about that statement. I’m not as rigid as you may think I am…lol. I’m open to changes…..just incremental ones…..not the drastic ones
